Halloween Has Come
Japan x Reader
Kiku was pouring himself a cup of tea when his phone rang. "Huh? Who could it be at this hour?" It was around eleven at the night, October 30th, and Kiku couldn't sleep. He picked up his phone. 12:00 AM. He shivered. It was Halloween. Being from Japan, there were a lot of legends of monsters, ghosts, you name it. And they were scary as hell. Hanako-san of the toilet, Teke-Teke, split mouth woman, and a lot of other crazy shit.
And it was scary when you have lived in Japan all your life, which was Kiku's case. He answered the phone. It was an unknown number. "Herro?" He mumbled. "Kiku.." A female voice whispered. "Y-Yes?" His eyebrows furrowed. "Happy Halloween!" A voice shouted. He nearly dropped the phone. "W-Who is this?" He asked, frustrated. "It's (f/n)! You forgot your girlfriend's voice? That's cruel." Her cheerful laughter rang in his ears. He sighed in relief. "You scared me, (f/n)-san." He smiled. "So, why are you up so rate (late)?" He asked.
"I couldn't sleep, and I knew you were awake. You are every Halloween at this time. So I thought, why not give you a good scare?" (F/n) rolled around on her bed. She heard his small chuckle. "Is that so?" She could imagine him drinking tea. They talked for a while, when Kiku realized how quiet she was being. "(F/n)-san?" He murmured. He heard small sighs, and faint snoring. "Oyasumi*." He softly mumbled with a smile, before hanging up.

(F/n) grinned. She had the perfect plan to scare her boyfriend. He was always so stoic, and even when he showed expressions, they were faint. She parked in front of Kiku's house, getting out. It was surprising how he couldn't hear her. She used her pins to unlock the door, and slipped in. Her (h/c) hair was messy. She looked around the house, and when he wasn't there, she was confused. "Where could he be?" She mumbled to herself.
She grinned when she realized he was in the garden. She got out the door and stealthily tip-toed around the garden to hide behind a tree. Kiku was staring at the sky, sakura petals falling. She took a rock on the ground and threw it far to her front, behind Kiku. He quickly turned to the noise, and while he was distracted, she left a paper on the ground in front of her and scratched the tree, making a noise.
Before he could turn, the (e/c) eyed girl ran to another tree. Kiku looked around. "Is anyone here?" He mumbled, before noticing the paper. He walked to it, and picked it up. The words were in red, and were messy but readable. "Don't look back, don't look behind you." He read out loud, shivers running down his spine. He folded the paper and stuffed it in his pocket. "Who is doing this?" He said a little louder, looking around. He heard a giggle, and turned to the source. He saw a shadow quickly running to another tree, and froze. There was another paper.
He picked it up, frightened beyond belief. "You think you believe in God, but are you sure you really do?" The paper said, but in bigger letters. "Show yourserf (yourself)!" He turned in every direction, his hands trembling. "Honda-san.. Honda-san.." A faint voice chanted, but he couldn't figure out from what direction. He heard crumpling from above him, and a paper slowly flew down to him from the trees. He took it in his hands. "When you see me you'll realize," he turned the paper.
There, in bold, messy black letters said the words: "Maybe God doesn't believe in you!" He let out a small yelp. This was getting creepy, fast. "W-Who is doing this? It isn't funny!" Said the Japanese man. He heard shuffling, and when he turned, he came face to face with a woman, with wide red eyes and a grin that reached from one ear to the other. "Boo." She whispered in the most creepy voice she could muster. He screamed in a girlish way, before jumping two feet in the air and into her arms.
There was silence for two seconds before the 'ghost' burst into laughter. Kiku jumped out of the woman's arms and backed away. He soon recognized the laughter, and it's (wavy, straight, etc.) (h/c) hair. "(F/n)?!" He exclaimed, dropping his manners for a second.
She took out the red eye contacts, and wiped her face, revealing her beautiful (e/c) eyes teary with joy. "S-Sorry, Kiku! I just had to!" She bent over, holding her stomach. He kept still, trying to process what was happening. She finally stopped laughing and walked over to him, hugging the black-haired male. "That was cruel, (f/n)-san." He mumbled, hugging her back. "Sorry, Kiku." She chuckled, kissing his cheek. He nodded in understanding. "You don't need to worry, Kiku. I'm right here." She murmured into his chest.
And I'll never let anything hurt you.

Japan x Reader: Cosplay Calculations
You lay on the carefully hand made mat of bamboo in your friend, Kiku’s room as you were flipping through some manga he had laying on his kotatsu. Though the manga was still in japanese, the pictures were nice to look at... Even if you hadn’t really the slightest clue what they were saying. Kiku had taught you a little bit of his language but it’s nothing too useful; just things like kawaii, Senpai, Oniichan, and something he would never explain what it was. He advised never to speak it and never to look up what it meant. Kiku also warned not even to think it, because “it’s such a bad word for a sweet girl like y
